Tis the spot for a wee tipple and good craic as you bask in the serenade of beautiful North Jersey. Recommend the full Irish. Literally the only place for miles were breakfast can feed a man after a 5 hr romp in the state parks.
Every time I get back to Jersey, it's my go-to spot! Perfect pints! And the food is great! The bread pudding dessert is ridiculously good!
This was such a cozy great place. We stopped in after seeing Wicked and had a blast! Our bartender, Al, was gorgeous with adorable dimples and accent! Sorry ladies…. He’s married! We also met Delilah who was promoting Fireball whiskey and she was so precious! I She made it such a good time and we laughed so hard!Hey girl!!! We will see you next fall🤗🫶🥰
The best beef stew and potatoes I EVER had. I have eaten from here plenty times. I also had the salad with arugula beets asparagus and fresh mozz, it was all very fresh. It is a rare occurrence when I leave reviews but I just had to take time out to write one for Celtic Corner. My experience was amazing!
The fiance and I were in need of a date night and ventured out to here. Needless to say the food was awesome, the vibe perfect, and Amanda our waitress was highly attentive and excelled in making us very comfortable. Great time.
3/15/24We were actually on our way up to Shannon Rose when I thought I should check out other Irish Pubs/Restaurants and landed on Celtic Corner. Google maps show the large location, so we knew it wouldn't be a dive bar.I'm so glad we came and got to taste the food here.French Onion Soup was delicious! It's so good and flavorful. When I got my bowl, I thought they forgot the cheese, which wouldn't be an issue for me because I can't have cheese. I usually peel it off and give it to hubby, lol. He was sad there wasn't much cheese. But as I dug down, I saw more cheese, it seemed the bread flipped over, and all the cheese was underneath. LOL. Like they say, don't judge a book by its cover ;)We got the 6 piece Wings with the Hot Garlic Honey sauce. Tasty wings, just need more hot lol. It's so sticky! We both had to wash our hands after heheheGuinness Beef Stew was so good! I wish I could eat beef, I would devour this! I took a piece of the carrots, and it was amazing!Bangers and Mash was ok, nothing like the Beef Stew. Sadly, I took a bite of the Beef Stew 1st, so the Bangers and Mash was kind of bland compared.Victoria was an awesome waitress. Very attentive and on point!
Justin is someone all bartenders should look up to. Attentive, patient, and lovely are just a few words that could describe him. Now on to the bar, amazing layout, extremely welcoming, and the food is absolutely phenomenal (get the fish and chips).
This place is pretty good, and probably the best Irish place in the area (if not the only one). The corned beef, meatloaf, and shepherd's pie are all tasty, although nothing outstanding. Reasonably priced, too, especially for the times. The service was good and fast, and the atmosphere is relaxed.
We were hoping to find another “happy hour” venue but alas, the drinks were discounted at a good price but no “happy hour” food menu. Try their lemonade cocktail, nice refreshing summer drink. We ordered fish and chips and fish tacos. The fish and chip portions have diminished in size but we’re tasty and the two tacos were nicely seasoned. Great casual neighborhood bar/restaurant at reasonable prices.
Celtic is the pub you want to go to to relax and have a great time. it’s the pub that makes you feel at home, makes you feel welcome and warm. You will find great conversations and great drinks, and the only person supplying those two beautiful things are the bar tenders. I am here to speak about Justin. One of the most amazing bar tenders to ever cross paths with. Friendly, amazing, interesting, and can make one hell of a drink no matter what it is. If you ever go to Celtic make sure it’s when Justin is tending to your bar needs. Cheers
As a paddy I'm biased. However I can't say enough good things about the Celtic Corner. We had a great family meal (9 people) with staff very attentive to our every whim. We actually has a couple of good Guinness also (they travelled well this time). Food was excellent (all happy including the children - no mean feat). Besides all that the venue is a real local with a great atmosphere but at the same time looking to up the ante (music, events & the rest). I'm told the locals fought tooth & nail to make sure the guys stayed in business during covid. Not hard to see why!
My girlfriend and I come here quite often and are never disappointed. Today on Easter Sunday my girlfriend had Poached eggs with Hollandaise Sauce, Corned Beef and Potatoes. I had the Grilled Chicken BLT and Fries which were nice and crunchy. For the appetizer we both shared their Buffalo Wings with Mild Sauce. Everything was very delicious. Our waiter was very polite and made sure that we were alright. I recommend The Celtic Corner. Which is located in Hawthorne NJ.
I wish I could give this place 4.5 stars. The service was wonderful and the food was delicious. I had the cottage pie (SO GOOD). The server (didn't catch his name) was SUPER attentive, friendly, and kind. Everything was perfect... Except the chicken sandwiches. My group ordered 2 on the recommendation of a friend who said they were fantastic, but the ones we got came out over-cooked and dry. Still, I decided to give this place the full 5 stars since it may have been an off day or the fact that we arrived about 35 minutes before the kitchen was closing.Still, even given those factors, the overall experience here was excellent.Definitely try the cottage pie!
I've visited quite a large number of Irish style, pub eateries and this one never fails to please. Looking forward to what their brunch menu has to offer. We will be back for more!
Really great family friendly atmosphere. Food came out quickly and was delicious. Prices were reasonable and we never felt rushed. The location is great for a walk after all that comfort food!!

Our Story
With a large, hand-hewn bar, authentic Irish woodwork, the Gastropub, and restaurant are the result of a dream of David McGoldrick and Roy O’Donovan,
“Our idea was to provide a local friendly Irish place that offers good beer, a nice wine selection, and craft cocktails along with reasonably priced food,” said O’Donovan. “We really wanted a menu and a price point that everyone in the area will want to experience,” added McGoldrick.
